STAFF WELFARE
106. The Post Office Recreation Club continued as the venue for promoting welfare, sporting and social activities of its members during the year.
107. Regular X-Ray examinations, inoculations, etc. of the staff were carried out during the year by Medical and Health Department.
108. A bathing pavilion was constructed at the Stanley main beach and opened on 20.8.66. Another site has since been obtained in Kowloon on the Ting Kau beach and plans for a further bathing pavilion on this site were well in hand at the end of the year.
Social Activities
109. The Annual Children's Party, a regular feature of the Depart- ment's social activities, was held on 2nd January, 1967. The children attending were entertained to games and side-shows by guest artists and presented with gifts. The proceedings were filmed and featured on Television.
Swimming-Crook Cup
110. The 11th Annual Inter-Section Swimming Competition for the Crook Cup was held on 20th September, 1966 at the European Y.M.C.A. Pool. A total of six teams participated. The Kowloon Postmen team once again took top honours with Hong Kong Sorting Office team as good runners-up.
Table Tennis-Saville Cup
111. Competition for the Saville Cup was concluded on 3rd February, 1967. The Kowloon Sorting Office team captured the cham- pionship. Hong Kong Sorting Office were runners-up.
Tennis League
112. Only one team entered the 'C' Division of the Colony League and were in 5th place at the end of the season.
Soccer League
113. The Post Office Recreation Club Soccer team playing in the 2nd Division of the local Soccer League finished 5th from the top in the 1966-67 season.
