Radar Examination

75. Ten candidates were examined during the year on behalf of the Director of Marine.

Licences

76. The total number of licences issued in accordance with the Telecommunication Regulations ending 31st March, 1966 was 168,627 of which 166,352 were Broadcast Receiving Licences. The total shows an increase of 25,635 licences over the previous year. Details of licences in force are shown at Table IV.

77. The results of prosecutions conducted by this Department against persons contravening the Telecommunications Ordinance are given below:

International Statistics

78. Annual statistics covering telecommunications services and facilities in Hong Kong were forwarded to Berne for inclusion in international publications.

Interference

79. Cases of interference to telecommunications services, both Government and privately owned, performing internal and external functions, were investigated and eliminated wherever possible. Fifteen cases, caused by electronic industrial machines, of a severity sufficient
