44. Letter and packet mail delivered in the Colony amounted to an estimated 103,945,500, showing a slight decrease of about 3%.
45. The number of undeliverable letters handled by the Dead Letter Office again increased, the total being 1,771,796. It is evident that use is still being made by many organizations of old reference books whilst use of completely inadequate addresses is prevalent.
46. The routings of both air and surface mail to destinations overseas were kept under constant review to ensure that the greatest expedition combined with economy of operation was achieved.
