MISCELLANEOUS
83. Eighteen additional licences were issued during the year for use of the Business Reply Card Service.
84. Temporary postal facilities for the 18th Exhibition of Hong Kong Products were again provided from 6th December, 1960 to 7th January, 1961.
85. Local school students pursuing their civic studies continued to show keen interest in the operational work of this Department and conducted tours were arranged at intervals throughout the year.
86. During the year the Department was also honoured with the visits of distinguished persons from the Postal Administrations of the United Kingdom, India, East Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Canada, Belgium, Japan and West Germany.
87. Clerical Training Courses and English classes for the postmen were conducted during the year but on a reduced scale owing to the pressure of business.
88. Mail chutes were installed in several large buildings in the Colony to facilitate the speedy collection of mail but the absence of letter boxes in buildings throughout the Colony again added to the difficulties in delivering mail, particularly in multi-story blocks.
89. Special postal facilities were provided on board the following Round-the-World liners during their visit to the Colony :

on 5th and 6th April, 1960.
14th and 15th March, 1960. 29th and 30th March, 1961.
RADIO LICENSING AND INSPECTION
90. The total number of licences of all kinds in force on 31st March, 1961 was 126,304 of which 125,319 were broadcast receiving licences. These figures show an overall increase of 20,740 licences and 20,654 broadcast receiving licences.
91. The increased check coverage by staff of the Department has contributed to the substantial increase in broadcast receiving licences in the past two years.
