96. The total revenue of the Radio Licensing and Inspection Division for 1958/59 was $1,619,973.44 as against $1,452,821 for the previous year.

TELEPHONES
97. The internal telephone system of the Colony is provided by the Hong Kong Telephone Company Limited, a Public Company operating under a franchise from the Hong Kong Government. Radio- telephone service is available to most parts of the world in co-operation with Cable and Wireless Limited.
98. The system, comprising some 86,000 stations, is fully automatic and is provided from five major exchanges, of which three are located in Victoria and two in Kowloon. In addition, service to outlying areas including the New Territories is provided by a number of automatic satellite exchanges.
99. Two major exchanges for Mong Kok and Kowloon City, of 7,000 and 8,000 lines respectively are in the course of construction and are scheduled for opening towards the end of 1959.
