(3) A member of the committee who is unable to attend a meeting of the committee may, on 7 days' notice to the chairman, send a substitute who shall be deemed to be a member of the committee.
(4) A member of the committee appointed under-
(a) subsection (2)(d) shall hold office for a 3 year term; and
(b) subsection (2)(e) shall hold office for a term, not exceeding 2 years, specified by the committee.
(5) A member appointed under-
(a) subsection (2)(d) may at any time resign from the committee by notice in writing to the Governor; or
(b) subsection (2)(e) may at any time resign from the committee by notice in writing to the chairman.
(6) Notice of the appointment or termination of membership of a member appointed under subsection (2)(d) may be published in the Gazette.
(7) The Registrar of the Supreme Court shall be secretary to the committee.
(8) The committee shall report its advice at least annually to the Governor or more often as the Governor requests.
(9) The committee may determine its own procedure.

75. Saving
Nothing in this Ordinance shall----

(a) prejudice or affect any rights or privileges of any member of Her Majesty's Overseas Judiciary, any legal officer within the meaning of section 2 of the Legal Officers Ordinance (Cap. 87), any person to whom the provisions of the Registrar General (Establishment) Ordinance (Cap. 100) apply or any person holding an appointment under section 3(1) of the Legal Aid Ordinance (Cap. 91) or require any such person or any clerk or officer appointed to act for him to be admitted in any case where it would not have been necessary for him to be admitted if this Ordinance had not been enacted; or (Amended 1 of 1981 s. 6; 50 of 1982 s. 7)
(b) affect any enactment empowering any person, whether or not a solicitor or a barrister, to conduct, convene or otherwise act in relation to any legal proceedings.
