1. These regulations may be cited as the Antiquities (Excavation and Search) Regulations.
2. (1) Subject to paragraph (2), a person who desires to obtain a licence shall apply to the Authority in triplicate in Form I in the Schedule at least 2 months before the date upon which the excavation and search is intended to commence.
(2) Notwithstanding paragraph (1), the Authority may consider an application not made within the time prescribed.
3. An application to obtain a licence shall be accompanied by a plan in triplicate on a scale not smaller than 1:1200 showing the location, boundaries and general features of the area in respect of which the licence is sought and the particular site, if any, of the proposed excavation, together with a photograph or photographs each not smaller than 25 centimetres by 20 centimetres sufficient to identify and describe the area under application, to the satisfaction of the Authority.
4. (1) Subject to paragraph (2), an application to renew a licence shall be made at least 1 month before the date upon which the licence is due to expire and shall be made in such manner and shall contain such information as the Authority considers appropriate.
(2) Notwithstanding paragraph (1) the Authority may consider an application not made within the time prescribed.

5. A licence shall be in Form II in the Schedule.
6. There shall be payable to the Authority upon the grant or renewal of a licence a fee of $50.
