(Note: This item is not given in detail as the Proclama- tion has been omitted from the Revised Edition as spent. The Interpretation Ordinance (Cap. 1) defines Gazette as including the British Military Administration Gazette.)

(Note: This Pro- clamation remains in force by virtue of section 5 of the Re- vised Edition of the Laws Ordinance, 1948, although omitted from the Revised Edition.)

Whenever the words "Chief Civil Affairs Officer" occur, there shall be substituted the words "Governor in Council".

In paragraph (3) the words "Hong Kong (British Military Administration)" shall be deleted.

The words "in the public interest" shall be substituted for the words "in the in- terests of the British Mili- tary Administration".

There shall be substituted for the words "shall be guilty of an offence.. .......such imprisonment and fine" the words "shall be liable

(a) on conviction on in- dictment to imprisonment for five years and to a fine of ten thousand dollars;

(b) on summary conviction to imprisonment for one year or to a fine of two thousand dollars".

Enemy Property as amended by the Enemy Property 8 (Amendment) Pro clamation.
