ARTICLE 11.

The letters which shall be exchanged by means of the French mail packets of the Indo-China lines between the inhabitants of the British Possessions, served by those packets, and the inhabitants of Pondicherry, Saigon, and Shanghai, may be mutu- ally delivered either unpaid or paid to destination.

ARTICLE 12.

The British Post Office shall pay to the Post Office of France, as well for paid letters forwarded from the British possessions, referred to in the preceding Article, for Pondicherry, Saigon, and Shanghai, as for unpaid letters forwarded from Pondicherry, Saigen, and Shanghai, addressed to the said British possessions, the sum of 1 franc 20 centimes per ounce British, net weight.

ARTICLE 13.

The Post Office of France shall pay to the British Post Office, as well for paid letters for- warded from Pondicherry, Saigon, and Shanghai, addressed to the British possessions in Asia, as for unpaid letters forwarded from the British posses- sions in Asia, addressed to Pondicherry, Saigon, and Shanghai, the sun of forty centimes per 30 grammes, net weight.

ARTICLE 14.

Independently of the rates of postage fixed by Articles 24 and 25 of the Convention of the 24th September 1856, the Post Office of Great Britain shall pay to the Post Office of France, for the letters and printed papers comprised in the closed mails which the said Post Office of Great Britain shall forward or receive, by means of the French mail packets and by way of the Isthmus of Suez, the sum of 40 centimes per pound British, of letters or printed papers, net weight, when the conveyance of the said mails across the Isthmus of Suez shall be effected at the expense of the Post Office of France.

ARTICLE 15.

The forms of letter bills and acknowledgments of receipt of which the Office of Marseilles and the Travelling Offic from Lyons to Marseilles shall make use in their communications with the Offices of Aden, Madras, Calcutta, Point de Galle, Singa- pore, and Hong Kong, to verify the results of the transmission of the correspondence forwarded by means of the French mail packets, shall be according to the pattern B. annexed to the present Articles. The forms of letter bills and acknowledgments of receipt of which the Post Office Agents on board the French mail packets on the Indo-China lines shall make use in their communications with the Offices of Aden, Madras, Calcutta, Point de Galle, Singapore, and Hong Kong, shall be accord- ing to the pattern C. in like manner annexed to the present Articles.

ARTICLE 11.

Les lettres qui seront échangées par la voie des paquebots-poste Français des lignes de l'Indo- Chine entre les habitants des Possessions Britan- niques, desservies par ces paquebots, et les habi tants de Pondichéry, Saigon, et Shanghay, pour- ront être livrées de part et d'autre non-affranchies ou affranchies jusqu'à destination.

ARTICLE 12.

L'administration des Postes Britanniques pa- yera à l'Administration des Postes de France, tant pour les lettres affranchies expédiées des possessions Britanniques, designées dans l'article précédent, pour Pondichery, Saigon, et Shanghay, que pour les lettres non-affranchies expédiés de Pondichéry, Saigon, et Shanghay à destination des dites possessions Britanniques, la somme de 1 franc 20 centimes par once Britannique, poids net.

ARTICLE 13.

L'Administration des Postes de France payera à l'Administration des Postes Britanniques, tant pour les lettres affranchies expédiés de Pondi- chéry, Saigon, et Shanghay à destination des possessions Britanniques d'Asie, que pour les lettres non affranchies expédiés des possessions Britanniques d'Asie à destination de Pondichéry, Saigon, et Shanghay, la somme de 40 centimes par 30 grammes, poids net.

ARTICLE 14.

Indépendamment des prix de port fixés par les Articles 24 et 25 de la Convention du 24 Sep- tembre 1856, l'Administration des Postes de la Grande Bretagne payera à l'Administration, des Postes de France, pour les lettres et les imprimés compris dans les dépêches closes que la dite Ad- ministration des Postes de la Grande Bretagne expédiera ou recevra par la voie des paquebots- poste Français et de l'Isthme de Suez, la somine de 40 centimes par livre Britannique de lettres ou d'imprimés, poids net, lorsque le transport des dites dépêches à travers l'Isthme de Suez sera effectué aux frais de l'Administration des Postes de France.

ARTICLE 15.

Les formules de feuilles d'avis et d'accusés de réception dont le Bureau de Marseille et le Bu reau ambulant de Lyon à Marseille feront usage dans leurs rapports avec les Bureax d'Aden, Ma- dras, Calcutta, Point de Galle, Singapore, et Hong Kong, pour constater les faits de la trans- mission des correspondances acheminées au moyen des paquebots-poste Français, seront conformes au modèle B. annexé aux présents Articles.

Les formules de feuilles d'avis et d'accusés de réception dont les Agents des postes embarqués sur les paquebots-poste Français des lignes de l'Indo-Chine feront usage dans leurs rapports aver les Bureaux d'Aden, Madras, Calcutta, Point de Galle, Singapore, et Hong Kong, seront conformes au modèle C. également annexé aux présents Ar-
