SINGAPORE, Captain GRIBBLE, with Her Majesty's Mails, Passengers, Specie, and Cargo, will leave this for the above places on Wednes- day, the 15th April, 1863, at 2 P.M.
CARGO will be received on board until 5 P.M. on the 13th April, SPECIE until Noon on the 14th April, and PARCELS until 5 P.M. on the 13th April.
For particulars regarding FREIGHT and PAS- SAGE, apply at the PENINSULAR & ORIENTAL STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY'S Office, Hong- kong.
Contents and Value of Packages are required,
* A written declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages for the Overland Route is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be delivered by the Shippers to the Com- pany's Agents with the Bills of Lading, or with Parcels; and the Company do not hold them- selves responsible for any Detention or Preju- dice which may happen from incorrectness on such declaration. Shippers of Cargo on the Company's Black Bills of Lading are particu- larly requested to note the Terms and Conditious of these Bills of Lading, with reference to the Transhipment and forwarding of Cargo, with a view to the adequateness of their Insurance Policies in respect of the same.

N Sunday, the 26th instant, at Noon, the
Company's Steam - ship “IMPERA- TRICE," Commandant MASSANET, H.I.M.N., with Her Britannic Majesty's Mails, Passengers, Specie, and Cargo, will leave this Port for the above places, in connection:
At Alexandria, with the Company's and the Austrian Lloyds Mail Steamers for the Levant, Black Sea, Greece, Corfu, and Trieste :
At Messina, with the Company's Semi-weekly Mail Steamers for Malta and all the Italian Ports: At Marseilles, with the weekly Company's Mail Steamer for Valencia, and by Railroad to Madrid.
In consequence of recent instructions, Passen- gers going to London are informed that the Com- pany will convey, free of charge, from Marseilles to London, their Baggage to the extent allowed by the regulation.
Cargo and Specie will be registered for London as well as for Marseilles, and accepted in transit through Marseilles for the principal places of Europe.
The Company has authority to grant Insurance on all Cargo conveyed by its Vessels, at a pre- mium of 1 per cent upon Merchandize, and per cent on Treasure, from Hongkong to Lyons, Paris, London, and Holland, and proportionally for places this side of Suez.
Cargo will be received on board until Noon of the 24th of April; Specie and Parcels until Noon of the 25th. As the Manifests of Merchan- dize have to be closed on the evening of the 25th, the Shippers are requested to present their Ship- ping Orders before 4 P.M. of said day; for past that time, no more Bills of Lading will be deli- vered to them, except after the departure of the Steamer.
A Written Declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages destined beyond Suez is
required by the Egyptian Government, and must be furnished by the Shippers to the Agent with the Bills of Lading; and the Company will not be responsible for any consequence or prejudice which may ensue from an incorrect declaration.

CANTON FIRE BRIGADE.
THE undersigned has in his possession a sum of about $5,300 accruing priucipally from the amount recovered from the Chinese Government for the value of the Fire Engines, &c., which be- longed to the Foreign Community in Canton and were destroyed at the burning of the Factories in 1856.
The undersigned has no information which would enable him to make a proper distribution of this money amongst the original Subscribers, and he therefore begs to suggest its appropriation to this Fund now being raised for the erection of a City Hall and Theatre in Hongkong. In the absence of any objection to this course the amount will be so transferred on the 1st May next.

"Canton Fire Brigade," notice is hereby given that an application for the fund in the hands of the undersigned has been made on behalf of the Subscribers to the Canton Church Society, in order to provide for the Completion of the Church and Parsonage now in course of erection at Sha- A Meeting of the Representatives of the Canton Foreign Community of 1856, will there- fore be called subsequently to the 1st May to con- sider this and any other objection that may be raised to the course suggested in the said adver- tisement and to decide on the apropriation of the money.
