Bourjau Hübener and Company, and John Steward Lapraik, also of Hongkong, Merchaut, and Thomas Behmer, also of Hongkong, Master Mariner, are Garnishees;

THEREAS an action has been commenced in this Court at the suit of the above named Charles Wilson Murray and Arthur Smith part- ners in the firm of Messieurs Birley and Com- pany against the above named Leong A Toon otherwise Wing Cheong Loong to recover Four Thousand One Hundred and Eighty-nine Dol- lars and twelve cents for money alleged to be due by the Defendant to the Plaintiffs for goods sold and delivered by the Plaintiffs to the Defendant, and it being alleged that the said Leong A Toon does not reside within this Island or its Depen- dencies a Writ of Foreign Attachment has been issued returnable on the Nineteenth day of Sep- tember instant, wherein Caleb Tongier Smith and James B. Taylor the resident partners in the firm of Messieurs Smith Arther and Company and George J. Helland and Antoine W. P. Kup the resident partners in the firm of Messieurs John Burd and Company and A. Hew are Garnishees.
Notire is hereby given thereof and that if at any time before final judgment in this action, the said Leong A Toon or any person on his behalf will give the security and notice and file the appearance or alea required by the Ordinance of this Island intituled "An Ordinance to provide for and re- gulate Process in actions at Law against persons absent from the Colony" the said Attachment may be dissolved.

At Messina, with the Company's Semi-weekly Mail Steamers for Malta and all the Italian Ports: At Marseilles, with the weekly Company's Mail Steamer for Valencia and by Railroad to Madrid.
Passengers going to London are informed that the Company will convey, free of charge, from Marseilles to London, their Baggage to the extent allowed by the regulation.
Cargo and Specie will be registered for London as well as for Marseilles, and accepted in transit through Marseilles for the principal places of Europe.
The Company has authority to grant Insurance on all Cargo conveyed by its Vessels, at a pre- minn of 11 per cent upon Merchandize, and per cent on Treasure, from Hongkong to Lyons, Paris, London, and Holland, and proportionally for places this side of Suez.
Cargo will be received on board until 4 r.M., on the 22nd September; Specie and Parcels until 5 o'clock P.M. on the 22nd.
A Written Declaration of the Contents and Value of the Packages destined beyond Suez is required by the Egyptian Government, and must be furnished by the Shippers to the Agent with the Bills of Lading; and the Company will not be responsible for any consequence or prejudice which may ensue from an incorrect declaration.
