THE Kiungchow District Notice to Mariners issued on the 30th November, 1920. Re the wrecked steamer Namwan in which position of wreck was given as E. 9o S. Distance 1075 cables off Hainan Head Beacon. The position of wreck has now been established by survey to be N. Lat. 20° 10'4, E. Long. 110° 43′.

38. China Sea-Balabac Strait.
Lumbukan Channel-Obstruction Reported.
Position (Approximate):--Lat. 7° 47' N. Long. 117° 12′ E.
Remarks.-The Master of the R.F.A. "Petroleum" reports that on the night of November 6th, 1920, his vessel drawing 19 feet 3 inches, encountered a submerged obstruction in a position approximately 190° 7-7 miles from Komiran Island Lighthouse. Engines were at once stopped and soundings taken round the ship, but no bottom could be obtained at 20 fathoms.
