marriage, testament, or in any other manner rhatever, under the same conditions which are may be established with respect to the subjects other foreign nation, without being subject any imposts, duties, or charges of any descrip- on whatever other or higher than those which re or may be levied on such foreign subjects, or in subjects of the country. They shall likewise liberty to export the proceeds of the sale of heir property and goods in general, without being ubjected, on such exportation, to pay, as foreigners, ay other or higher duties than those payable under imilar circumstances by subjects of the country, r the subjects of any third Power the most avoured in these respects.

They shall be equally exempted from all fficial, obligatory, judicial, administrative, or municipal functions whatsoever. They shall ikewise enjoy most-favoured-nation treatment with respect to access to Courts of Law, and in the prosecution and defence of their rights, and in regard to domiciliary visits to their dwellings, manufactories, warehouses, or shops.

British subjects in Roumania and Roumanian ubjects in the territories (including the Colonies and foreign Possessions) of Her Britannic Majesty shall be reciprocally exempted from all personal service, whether in the army, navy, or national guard, or militia, from billeting, from all contribu- tions, whether pecuniary or in kind, destined as a compensation for personal service, from all forced loans and military exactions or requisitions.

The liabilities, however, arising out of the possession of real property, and for military loans and requisitions to which all the subjects of the State might be called upon to contribute as proprietors of real property, shall be excepted.

ARTICLE II.

The produce and manufactures of, as well as all goods coming from the territories (including the Colonies and foreign Possessions) of Her Britannic Majesty, which are imported into Roumania, and the produce and manufactures of, as well as all goods coming from Roumania, which are imported into the territories (including the Colonies and foreign Possessions) of Her Britannic Majesty, whether intended for consump- warehousing, re-exportation, or transit, shall be treated in the same manner as, and, in particular, shall be subjected to no higher or other duties, whether general or municipal or cal, than the produce, manufactures, and goods any third country the most favoured in this respect.

No other or higher duties shall be levied in Roumania on the exportation of any Foods to the territories (including the Colonies and foreign Possessions) of Her Britannic Majesty, in the territories (including the Colonies and reign Possessions) of Her Britannic Majesty, on the exportation of any goods to Roumania than ay be levied on the exportation of the like goods any third country the most favoured in this respect.

Ei vor puté asemenea să exportede liber produsul vendărei proprietătei si în genere bunurile lor, fără ca să fie supusi de a plăti, ca strěiní, din causa exportatiunei, drepturi altele séŭ mai ridicate de cât acele pe cari nationalii saŭ supusii orì-cărei alte a treia Puteri, cea mai favorisată în acestă privintă, ar trebui să aquite în asemenea împre- jurări.

Ei vor fi scutiti de ori-ce functiune oficială obligatorie, judiciară, administrativă saŭ munici- pală. Ei se vor bucura asemenea de tratamentul natiunei celei mai favorisate in cea ce priveste dreptul d'a sta înaintea Tribunalelor, urmărirea si apărarea drepturilor lor, si în cea ce priveste visitele domiciliare, la domiciliurile, fabricele, magasinurile, saŭ prăvăliele lor.

Supusii Britanici în România si supusii Români în teritoriile (cuprindêndu-se Colonicle si Pose- siunile streine) Majestateĭ Séle Britanice vor fi reciproc scutiti de ori-ce serviciù personal, fie în Armatele de uscat saŭ de mare, fie în Gardele saŭ Militiile Nationale, de cuartir militar, de ori-ce contributiune, fic în bani, fie in natură, destinatà să tină loc de serviciu personal, de ori-ce împrumut fortat, de ori-ce prestatiune sau requisitiune

militară.

Sunt însă exceptate sarcinele cari sunt alipite poscsiunei, sub orî-ce titlu, a unui bun imobiliar, precum si prestatiunile si requisitiunile militare la cari toti nationalii pot fi chemată a se supune, în calitate de proprietari fonciarĩ.

ARTICOLUL II.

Productele pământului si manufacturelor, pre- cum si mărfurile venind din terile (coprindêndu-se Coloniile si Posesiunile străine) Majestǎtei Séle Britanice, si importate în România, si productele pământului si manufacturelor, precum si mărfurile venind din Romania, si importate în terile (coprindêndu-se Coloniile si Posesiunile străine) Majestătei Séle Britanice, nu vor fi supuse pentru consomatiune, intreposit, re-exportatiune séu transit la drepturi seu taxe alte, séŭ mai ridicate, fic generale, fie locale, fie municipale, si vor fi tratate în tóte priivintele ca productele pământu- lui seŭ manufacturilor alle natiunei celei 10aï favorisate. Nu se va percepe în România la exportatiunea ori cărei mărfi pentru Teritoriele (coprindêndu-se Coloniile si Posesiunile străine) Majestatei Séle Britanice, nici in Teritoriile (coprindêndu-se Coloniile si Posesiunile strâine) Majestatci Sale Britanice la exportatiunea ori cărei mărfi pentru România, drepturi altele séй mai ridicate de cât cele la care sunt supuse productele similare la exportatiunea loră pentru uă a treia téră cea mai favorisată în acestă privintă.
