Court House on the 27th day of July 1907, it was resolved by special resolution of the Cre- ditors present to entertain a proposal for a Composition of 30% in the following terms:-
Mr. F. X. D'ALMADA E CASTRO to be the Trustee under the Composition and the neces- sary amount to be deposited with him before the Receiving Order is rescinded.
The Meeting for the purpose of deciding whether the above resolution shall be con- firmed will be held at the Supreme Court. House, Small Court, on Monday the 12th day of August 1907 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon."
The proposal for a Composition can be con- firmed only by a Majority in number, repre- senting three-fourths in value, of all the Credi- tors who have proved, and is subject to the approval of the Court.
The proposal seems very advantageous to the Creditors.

BYE-LAWS
for the control of the traffic on the St. John's Place to Victoria Gap route.
1.-The Cars shall not at any one time i carry more than 40 passengers, but in reckon- ing the number of passengers, two children under twelve and over three years of age shall count as one passenger. Children under three years of age and the servants of the Company, not exceeding two in number actually em- ployed on such carriage, shall not be included.
2.-Any person who travels or attempts to travel in any carriage, after being warned by any servant of the Company that such car- riage contains 40 passengers, shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding $5 for the first offence and $10 for any subsequent offence of a like nature.
3. Children in arms under the age of three years shall be carried free of charge.
4.-No person shall be allowed to smoke on any part of the Cars running over the Com- pany's line, other than that part of the Cars which is placarded or labelled as being set apart for this purpose, so long as any female passenger is travelling on such Car, or after any person has requested the person smoking to desist from so doing. Any person infring ing this Bye-law shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding $1 for the first offence, $5 for the second offence, and $10 for any subsequent offence of a like nature.
5.-No passenger shall take in any Car as his personal luggage anything other than small hand-baskets, bags, or parcels, all of which shall not exceed 28 lbs. in weight or one cubic foot in measurement. All such personal luggage shall be carried by hand and at the responsibility of the passenger, and shall not occupy any part of a seat nor be of a form or description to annoy or inconvenience other passengers. Any passenger infringing this Bye-law shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding $5.
6.—Any person trespassing on any part of the permanent way of the Tramway, shall be i liable to a penalty not exceeding $5 for the first offence and $10 for any and every subse- quent offence.
7.—No passenger shall alight or attempt to alight from or shall enter or attempt to enter any Car while in motion, and any person infringing this Bye-law shall be able to a penalty not exceeding $5 for the first offence and $10 for any subsequent offence of a like
nature.
8.-All passengers not holding Season. Monthly, or Punch Tickets, shall, ou demand, show and deliver up to any of the Company's servants their tickets, and any such passenger

not doing so, on demand, shall pay the full fare from the terminus from which the Car started to the station at which such passenger shall alight.
9.-All passengers holding Season, Monthly, or Punch Tickets, shall, on demand, show to any of the Company's servants their tickets, and any such passengers not doing so, on demand, shall be liable to pay the full fare from the Station from which the Car started to the Station at which such passenger shall alight.
10.--Any passenger having a dog with him shall pay a sum not exceeding 10 cents for the carriage thereof. But the Company will not be responsible for any injury to such dog, not- withstanding that such sum had been paid for the carriage thereof.
-If any passenger proceeds beyond the distance for which his ticket is available, he shall pay the full fare in force for the time being from terminus to terminus; and any person alighting short of the distance to which his ticket is available, shall deliver up his ticket at the station at which he alights with- out return of any portion of the fare and shall not be entitled to proceed in another Car with the same ticket.
12.-Any person throwing sticks, stones, or any other substance at the Cars, shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding $10 for every such offence.
13.--The Company shall not be liable for or in respect of any alterations of service or any stoppage or delay in the arrival of the Cars, whether arising from accident or any other
cause.
14.--No person shall travel on a Special Car, unless the same is advertised as being about to run for the public use as a Special Car, except the person who hires such Car and his friends.
15.- Holders of Season Tickets shall not be at liberty to travel on Special Cars, which are open to the public, without paying the full fare in the same manner as any person other than a Season Ticket Holder.
