Replaced in position,

REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No. 296 (Special), Notice is hereby given that the Kiutoan Gas Light-vessel, having been repaired, has been replaced in position.

Location of Tonyting Island Fog Signal.

HAVING reference to Notice to Mariners No. 283 (Special), Notice is hereby given that because most large vessels that pass Tongting Island keep to the Eastward of it, the Fog Horn has been placed on the East side of the island. All vessels are therefore recommended to pass to the Eastward of Tongting Island in thick or foggy weather.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Superintendent of Customs and the Doyen of the Con- sular Body have declared the Ports of HONGKONG and KOBE to be infected.

All vessels arriving therefrom on and after the 20th instant are to abide by and be governed by the Sanitary Regulations for the Ports of Shanghai and Woosung.
