ARTICLES WHICH MAY BE SOLD.
12. Licensees are only permitted to sell articles of the nature or class specified in their licences.
13. No licensee shall sell or have in his possession for sale or expose for sale any article of food for man not usually sold by licensed hawkers.
14. Except with the permission of the Head of the Sanitary Department the licensee shall not, within prescribed market limits, sell or have in his possession for sale or ex- pose for sale any wares saleable in the Markets. Plans of the limits of the Markets can be seen at the Hawkers Offices at Central and Yaumati Police Stations.
15. No licensee shall sell or have in his possession with a view to sale or expose for sale any of the following flowers or plants or any flower or plant, sale or possession of which is prohibited,-
1. Cypripedium purpuratum
2. All azaleas
3. Enkianthus quinqueflorus
4. Ixora chinensis
5. Lilium Brownii.
6. Litsea citrata
7. Bauhinia blakeana
8. Manglictia fordiana
9. Pavetta indica
10. Spathoglottis pubescens
11. Arundina chinensis

16. Any licensee found in possession of any of the flowers or plants enumerated in condition No. 15 shall be presumed until the contrary is proved, to have the said flower or plant in his possession with a view to sale provided that in the case of the flower or plant Lilium Brownii no offence shall be deemed to have been committed if it is proved to the satisfaction of the Magistrate by the person charged that such flower or plant sold or had in his possession with a view to sale is not a wild-growing but a cultivated speci- men of such flower or plant.
17. Licensees are not allowed to sell or have in their possession for sale or expose for sale kerosine, gunpowder, firecrackers, or any description of dangerous goods.
TIMES IN WHICH HAWKING IS PERMITTED.
18. The Licensee shall not sell any wares between the hours of 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. without the permission of the Inspector General of Police.
19. The licensee shall not have any wares or implements for transaction of his trade in any street, highway, road, lane, square, court, alley or passage, whether a thorough- fare or not, between the hours of 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. without the permission of the Inspector General of Police.
METHOD OF HAWKING.
20. Licensees are not permitted to use or utter cries or make other noises for the purpose of selling their wares or attracting attention to their trade.
21. No licensee shall employ any person as his agent, salesman or servant in the transaction of his trade, unless the permission of the Inspector General of Police to such employment has been obtained and endorsed on the licence. The photograph of any person for whom such permission has been given shall be affixed to the licence.
22. The licensee shall be responsible for any breach of these conditions by any person employed by him.
