21. The Widows' and Orphans' Pension Ordinance, 1908. (No. 15 of 1908), -contd.

(b) he marries, or

(c) he leaves the service of this Govern- ment and is subsequently reappointed to it.

(5) Nothing in this section shall exempt an officer, who on reappointment to the service of this Government is already a contributor under this Ordinance, from continuing his contributions under this Ordinance.

(6) If an officer obtains exemption under this section, any contributions previously made by him under this Ordinance while his claim for exemption is pending or during either of the periods mentioned in sub-section (3) shall be returned to him without interest.”

(4) Section 6—

(i) sub-section (1) is amended by the insertion of the words ", of whom the Financial Secretary shall be one, im- mediately after the word directors in the third line;

(ii) sub-section (2) is amended by the substitution of the word may for the word shall in the third line:

(iii) sub-section (4) is amended by the insertion of the words Financial Secre- tary, and in his absence immediately

(5) Section 7—

(a) by the substitution of the word “pay- able" for the word "made" in the penultimate line of the first para- graph;

(b) by the repeal of the words and if such officer is in receipt of exchange compensation allowance it shall be calculated upon such nominal dollar salary before the abatement is made. in the last four lines of the second paragraph;

(ii) sub-section (3) is amended--

(a) by the substitution of the words **Accountant-General" for the word "Treasurer" in the first and second lines:

(b) by the insertion in paragraph (ii) of the words and figures ", subject to the provisions of sections 10 and 10A," immediately before the words "be reduced" in the second line;

(iii) sub-section (4) is amended by the substitution of the words Accountant- General" for the word "Treasurer" in the second, the seventh, the thirteenth and the fifteenth lines.
