In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1 (2) (d) of the Emergency Powers (Defence) Act, 1939, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, published respectively as Govern- ment Notification Nos. 707 and 708 in the Gazette Extra- ordinary No. 39 of the 26th August, 1939, His Excellency the Governor makes the following regulations:-

Trading with the Enemy Ordinance, 1914,

Amendment Regulations, 1939.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Trading with Short title. the Enemy Ordinance, 1914, Amendment Regulations, 1939.

2. Sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Trading with the Enemy Ordinance, 1914. is amended by the insertion of the

words-

"with the prior approval of the Secretary of State,' after the words “the Governor" in the first line.
