NOTICES.

Hong Kong.

ORDINANCE No. 5 of 1922. (EMERGENCY REGULATIONS).

Rules made by His Excellency the Governor under the powers conferred by Emergency Regulation No. 34 (3) published as Government Notification No. 794 in the Hong Kong Government Gazette Extraordinary, dated October 12th, 1938, for Camps for Aliens established at Ma Tau Chung, King's Park, North Point, Kam Tin, Cha Hang, Fanling North, Fanling South and San Uk Ling.

1. In these rules-

(a) camp controller

means any of the persons specified in rule 2 (1), and in respect of any particular camp the person or persons specified in rule 2 (2) for that camp;

and

(b) "internee' means every person lawfully confined in a camp established by the Governor under regulation 34 of the regulations made under the Emergency Regulations Ordin- ance, 1922, and published in the Gazette of 7th October, 1938, as Government Notification 775, amended by Govern- ment Notification 794 in the Gazette of 12th October, 1938, and Government Notification 902 of 25th November, 1938.

2. The following persons are appointed to be in control of internees :

(1) in all camps-

(a) The Director of Medical Services;

(b) The Commissioner of Police;

(2) (a) Ma Tau Chung Camp,

(b) King's Park Camp,

(e) North Point Camp,

(d) Cha Hang Camp, (e) Fanling North Camp, (f) Fanling South Camp,

(g) San Uk Ling Camp,

The Camp Overseer;

(3) in Kam Tin Camp, the Camp Commandant and

Assistant Camp Commandant.

3. Internees must obey the orders of the camp con- troller.
