The Buoy, which will be known as the Shaohsing Wreck Buoy, will retain its present characteristics.

Vessels should pass the Buoy at a distance of not less than 1 cable.

Gulf of Liaotung-Entrance to the Liao River.

The Bar-Middle Buoy Moved.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Middle Buoy moored on the Bar, entrance to the Liao River, Gulf of Liaotung, has been moved 15 cables S. 31° E. from its former position. From the new position of the Buoy, the Bar Signal Station bears N. 504° E., distant 5.7 miles.

The characteristics of the Buoy remain unchanged.

All bearings given are magnetic.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 301.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Lease of Crown Land opposite the Central Market", will be received at this Office until Noon on Monday, the 18th November, 1918, for the letting of Crown Land opposite the Central Market, for one year from 28th January, 1919, subject to the conditions specified below.

Each tender must be accompanied by a receipt to the effect that the tenderer has deposited in the Colonial Treasury a sum of $500 as a pledge of the bonâ fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if the tenderer refuse to carry out his tender and comply with the conditions hereinafter contained, should the tender be accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the highest or any tender.

Forms of tender and further particulars can be obtained from the Director of Public Works.
