(2) The Licensing Authority or the Chief Officer of the Fire Brigade may, in respect of such storage in any such garage, impose such further requirements as he may consider necessary with a view to the prevention or mitigation of the risk of danger or accident from fire or explosion.

(3) Every holder of a licence to store inflammable liquids in any such garage shall comply with every such requirement.

(4) At least one month's notice in writing of the inten- tion to impose any such requirement shall be given to the proprietor of any such garage.

(5) Within 14 days from the service of such notice, any person aggrieved thereby may appeal to the Governor in Council.

PART XX.-PETROL PUMPS AND STORAGE TANKS CONNECTED THEREWITH.

324.-(1) This Part shall apply to-

(a) tanks situated underground for the storage of in- flammable liquid and supply thereof to pumps situated above ground and connected to such tanks,

(b) such pumps, and

(c) all pipes, nachinery, apparatus, and appliances in connexion with such tanks and pumps.

(2) In the regulations in this Part, any reference to a tank, pump, or pipe means a tank, pump, or pipe to which the regulations in this Part apply.

325. No pump shall be erected except on approved by the Licensing Authority.

326.--(1) Except with the permission of the Licensing Authority, no tank shall have a capacity exceeding 1,000 gallons.

(2) The top of every tank shall be not less than three feet below ground level.

327. Every tank shall be covered with asphaltum or other anti-corrosive composition.

328.-(1) Every tank shall be made of steel or iron and shall be either-

(a) embedded in cement concrete, or

(b) contained in a concrete chamber, or

(c) contained in a chamber constructed of bricks set in

cement.

(2) All spaces between any tank and the walls of any chamber containing such tank shall be filled with well- tempered clay or dry sand.

(3) Where dry sand is used for filling the spaces between any tank and the walls of any chamber constructed of bricks, such walls shall be faced with cement not less than one inch thick.
