Substitution of Inspector General for

BE it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Watchmen Amendment Ordinance, 1929.
2. Sub-section (2) of section 2 of the Watchmen Ordi- nance, 1928, is repealed and the following sub-section is substituted therefor¦—
(2) Auy power or discretion conferred by or under this Ordinance upon the Inspector General of Police may be exercised by any police officer not below the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police.
3. The words "Inspector General " are substituted for the words " Captain Superintendent" in sections 2 (1) (g), 4, 5, 7 (1), 8, 9, 10, 12 and 13 of the Watchmen Ordinance, 1928.
