7. The licensee may not use any boat other than a properly licensed hawker boat for the purpose of hawking. Any number of licensed hawkers may use one boat provided the number does not exceed the number of passengers allowed by the boat licence.

8. Wares may not be hawked in any Naval Anchorage.

9. Licensees are only permitted to sell articles of such a nature as shall

be specified in their licences.

10. Licensees must remove all refuse caused by their trade and not

dump the same in the harbour.

11. Licensees are not allowed to sell or expose for sale kerosene, gunpowder, fire-crackers or any description of dangerous goods.

12. Licensees are not allowed to sell liquor, tobacco, cigarettes or any-

thing of a dutiable nature.

13. Licensees are not allowed to deal in marine wares.

14. The licence is only available for hawking in the harbour, and does

not entitle the licensee to hawk on land.

15. The licence must be carried at all times by the licensee when hawking, and must be produced to any Police or Revenue Officer on demand.

CONDITIONS OF HAWKERS (STEAMSHIP) LICENCE.

1. The licence is not transferable.

2. The licence is subject to all enactments in force for the time being relating to hawkers in the harbour. Conviction for any offence renders the licence liable to forfeiture if the Captain Superintendent of Police thinks fit.

3. The licence fee shall be $24.00 per annum payable in advance on the

1st October.

4. Every licensee shall produce two copies of his photograph, one to be deposited in the Licensing Office, and the other to be affixed to his licence.

5. The licensee shall not board any ship without the permission in writing of the Master of the ship or his deputy or the authorised Agent of the shipowner.

6. No person shall be on any ship for the purpose of hawking between

the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

7. The licensee shall not lay out any wares on board ship so as to

obstruct the free movement of passengers or ship's company.

8. The licensee shall sweep up and remove any refuse caused by his

trade on any ship, and shall not dump such refuse in the harbour.

9. The licensee is not permitted to use or utter cries, or make noises on

board any ship for the purpose of selling his wares.

10. Licensees are only permitted to sell articles of such a nature as shall
