SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
No. 4 of 1917.
Gulf St. Vincent.
Port Adelaide Harbor.
MASTERS of vessels, Pilots, and others are hereby warned that a high tension electric. submarine cable is now laid across the stream between Ocean Steamers and Birkenhead Wharves, and that great care must be taken so as not to drop anchors, &c., in its vicinity.
In the daytime a pole 50ft. high, with a white diamond head, erected at the back of Ocean Steamers Wharf, brought into line with a white mark 12ft. high by 14ft. wide, on the power station chimney, indicates the direction of the cable.
On and after April 1st, a red light will be exhibited at night time from each of the above marks, one higher than the other.
This affects Admiralty Charts Nos. 1750, 1752, 2389.
