THE wrecks of two steamers are in the following positions :
(a) In 22 fathoms
Latitude, 0° 53' N.
Longitude, 79° 41' E.
A portion of about 10 feet of a derrick is visible above the sea.
(b) In 32 fathoms
Latitude, 6° 47′ N.
Longitude, 79° 45′ E.

The Astronomical positions are only approximate unless seconds are given. The bearings are given both True and Magnetic, and those relating to lights are from seaward. The visibility of lights is that in clear weather. Fog signals are sounded only in thick or foggy weather, The heights given are heights of focal plane abore high water.

Cape Inscription Light-Intended Alteration in Characteristics.
MARINERS and others are hereby notified that the White Occulting Light on Cape Inscription will be replaced by a group flashing white light on or about 15th May, 1917.
Position. Lat. 25° 29′ S.; Long, 112° 58' E.
· Character. White group flashing showing three flashes in quick succession every 15 seconds thus:-

Eclipse 11 secs.
Power.---6,000 candles.
Note. The light will be unwatched.
Remarks. The other details of the light will remain unaltered. No further notice
