No. 1.-North side Entrance a square concrete Beacon 11 feet above mean high water, having red painted marks (Diamond shaped) on three sides facing Channel and seaward.

(Acetylene light will be installed on this Beacon later and additional Notice to
Mariners issued.)

CHINA SEA.
TIENTSIN DISTRICT.
Gulf of Pechili--Approach to Taku Bar.
Wreck of S.S. “Guthrie" cut down to level of sea bottom.

REFERRING to Special Notices to Mariners Nos. 457 and 460, notice is hereby given that the wreck of the S.S. Guthrie, lying in the outer approach to the Taku Bar, has been cut down to the level of the sea bottom.
The salvage lighter and the two green wreck buoys have been removed.
The position of the wreck will be temporarily marked by a Spar Buoy until the sea bottom has recovered its normal level.
Vessels are cautioned against anchoring in the vicinity.
