No. S. 229.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in duplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Road to Farm Lots Nos. 7 and 8, New Kowloon ", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 16th day of October, 1916, for constructing an 8-foot Road to Farm Lots Nos. 7 and 8, New Kowloon.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

Chefoo Harbour-Inner Harbour under Construction.
Caisson Laid-Navigation Between Southern end of Breakwater and Tower Hill Prohibited.
REFERRING to Notices to Mariners Nos. 613 and 622, issued in connexion with the projected inner harbour at Chefoo, notice is hereby given that a caisson has been laid at the southern end of the breakwater under construction. This caisson is submerged at about half-tide. A white light is exhibited from sunset to sunrise on the southern end of the caisson.
The navigation of the passage between the southern end of the breakwater and Tower Hill is strictly prohibited.
