REGULATIONS.

AMENDMENT OR RESCISSION.

Table E of the Tables made by virtue of the Mer- chant Shipping Ordinance, 1899. (No. 10 of 1899),– continued.

Government surveyors yearly or half-yearly as the Harbour Master may in each case direct. If the requirements of the surveyors are complied with they shall issue to the owner a certificate of survey on pay- ment, in respect

of each survey, of a fee of the same amount as that prescribed by regulation 4 of these regula- tions or by any regulation sub- stituted therefor or amending the same, and such certificate shall then be produced to the Harbour Master without undue delay."

(21) Regulation 29 is renumbered 34.

(22) The following new regulation is added after

the renumbered regulation 34 :-

"Report of accident or damage.

35. Every owner of any launch, ferry vessel or motor boat shall report to the Harbour Master any accident or damage to such launch, ferry vessel or motor boat within 48 hours.”

(23) Regulations 30 to 36 are renumbered 36

to 42.

(24) Regulation 37 is rescinded and the follow- ing regulation is substituted therefor:-

43. Regulations 1 to 7, 9 to 19, 25

to 29, 32 to 34 and 44 to 47 of these regulations shall not apply to any motor boat which is used solely for purposes of pleasure.'

(25) Regulations 38 and 39 are renumbered 44

and 45.

(26) Regulation 40 is rescinded and the follow- ing regulation is substituted therefor:-

"Master's responsibil- ities.

46. It shall be the duty of the master of every launch, ferry vessel OT motor boat when conveying passengers to see that such launch, ferry vessel Or motor boat travels with reasonable expedition."

(27) Regulations 41 to 44 are renumbered 47 to

50.

(28) Regulations 47 and 48 are renumbered 51

and 52.

(29) Regulation 49 is renumbered 53 and is amended by the rescission of the figures 26" in the second line thereof and by the substitution therefor of the figures
