Light and Beacon Established.

NOTICE is hereby given that a steel Beacon with a concrete base and surmounted by a black spherical day-mark has been erected in the Yung River, 70 feet from the pierhead of Kiangnan Stone Jetty. The height of the Beacon is 18 feet above high water level,

At night a fixed red unclassed light is exhibited from the Beacon at a height of 12 feet above high water level.

Plover Point Buoy to be moved.

NOTICE is hereby given that, owing to an extension to the southward of the Lang- shan Flats in the vicinity of Plover Point, the Plover Point Buoy will, on or about the 24th July, 1915, be moved about 7 cables S. 62° W., magnetic, from its present position.

REFERRING to Harbour Notification No. 5 of 1915 (issued on the 16th instant) Notice is hereby given that operations have been commenced for raising the steamer Hsin-tai, now lying sunk below the Woosung Creek.

While these are in progress steamers, of whatever size, when nearing and passing the sunken vessel, in order to avoid causing a surge which would interrupt the work and endanger life, are to proceed at the Slowest Possible Speed,
