THE following Notice to Mariners is published for general information.

Cambridge Gulf.--Channel Rock.-The beacon marking these rocks has disappeared. Chart affected, No. 1388.

King Sound.-Point Torment. Elbow Shoal.-The two black buoys North of this shoal have been removed. Chart affected, No. 1052.

Port Hedland.-Outer Bar.-In crossing this bar deeper water has been obtained by keeping the leading beacons open, slightly either East or West.

Middle Ground.-This has shoaled considerably of late years. The dry portion of the bank has extended as a narrow ridge to the North and Westward of buoy. Vessels should round buoy fifty yards off.

The single pile beacon (red) off Harriet Point has disappeared. Chart affected, No. 1437.

Onslow, Ashburton Roads. The stake beacon on spit at entrance to Ashburton River has disappeared. Chart affected, No. 3152.

Hamelin Bay.-Buoys marking channel and mooring buoys have been removed. Charts affected, Nos. 1472, 1054.

CHINA SEA.

SHANGHAI DISTRICT.

LANGSHAN CROSSING.

Middle Bank Buoy Discontinued; Upper Plover Point Buoy Established. NOTICE is hereby given that the Middle Bank Buoy, marking the northern bank off Plover Point, Langshan Crossing, has been discontinued, and that a 6-foot conical Buoy, painted black and surmounted by a black spherical cage, and named the Upper Plover Point Buoy, has been moored in 41 feet of water at low water of spring tides, to mark the southern bank of the channel off Plover Point. From the Buoy, Plover Point Beacon bears S. 29° E., magnetic, distant 9.5 cables.

Caution.

A recent examination of this locality shows that the northern bank is extending into the channel, which, abreast of the Upper Plover Point Buoy, has now a breadth of 5 cables between this Buoy and the 5-fathom contour on the northern side of the fairway.
