Powers and duties of
auxiliary firemen.
(2) Any such order may apply either to the whole of this Colony or to any part thereof specified in the order, and either to all premises or to premises of such classes or descrip- tions as may be so specified, subject to any exemptions for which the order may provide.
(3) Any police constable, and any person authorized in writing by a competent authority, may at any time enter and inspect any premises to which any such order applies for the purpose of seeing whether the order is being complied with.
(4) In this regulation references to premises include references to parts of premises that are separately occupied.
63B. (1) Any auxiliary fireman being on duty may enter and if necessary break into any premises in which a fire has or is reasonably supposed to have broken out, or any premises which it is necessary to enter for the purpose of extinguishing a fire, without the consent of the owner or occupier of the premises, and may do anything he thinks necessary for extinguishing the fire or protecting from fire any such premises or rescuing any person or property therein.
(2) The Governor may by order provide for conferring on persons of such classes or descriptions as may be mentioned in the order the powers conferred on auxiliary firemen by the foregoing provisions of this regulation.
(3) Any person who wilfully obstructs or interferes with any auxiliary fireman engaged in operations for the extinction of a fire or the protection or rescue of any person or property from fire shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty dollars.
