LOCAL NOTICE TO MARINERS No. 99.
Rock in Front Reach of Canton River.
NOTICE is hereby given that a rock with 5'1 feet of water over it at L.W.S. exists in the Front Reach of the Canton River to the Eastward of Whampoa Barrier.
For plotting on Admiralty Chart No. 3647 Inclined Pagoda bears from the Rock S. 80° W. distant 17·2 cables.

REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No. 11 of 1912, masters of vessels and others are hereby informed that the danger known as the "Berlin Rock has been marked by a Cheese- shaped Buoy surmounted by a staff and ball, and painted in red and black chequer, placed in 3 fathoms at L.W.S. on the shallowest part of the rock.
There is 5 fathoms at L.W.S. at a distance of half a cable all round the buoy.
Approximate position-Lat. 34° 35′ S.; long. 136° 3′ E.
This affects Admiralty Charts Nos. 2389B and 2759B.

WALLARO0 JETTY LIGHT.
REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No. 9 of 1912, Masters of vessels and others are advised that during the period that the jetty is under reconstruction the Jetty Light will be removed to a position some sixty (60) feet shorewards, and as the pile-driving machinery will be seaward of it the light may be partially obscured from some points. This should be noted by Masters and others intending to approach the jetty at night time.
This affects Admiralty Chart No. 2389в, &c.
