5. The Colonial Secretary laid on the table the Report of the Finance Committee
(No. 6), dated 28th July, 1937, and moved its adoption.

6. The Attorney General moved :---
MOTIONS.
That the amendment made by the Urban Council under section 4 (xvi) of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, to the by-laws under the heading "Conservancy",
Conservancy", on the 17th day of August, 1937, be approved.
The Colonial Secretary seconded.

7. Appropriation Bill for 1938.-The Colonial Secretary addressed the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding Twenty-six million three hundred and twenty-seven thousand three hundred and forty-three Dollars to the Public Service of the year 1938."
The Financial Secretary and Colonial Treasurer seconded.

8. Naval Establishments Police Amendment Bill.-The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to amend the Naval Establishments Police Ordinance, 1875."

9. Factories and Workshops Bill.-The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to amend the law relating to factories and workshops and to the employment of women, young persons and children in certain industries."
