(b) A special additional fee of $75 is also payable for the loadline survey of an unclassed ferro-concrete ship.
(c) The fee for an unclassed ship should be charged for an unclassed wooden sailing or motor ship whether opened out for survey or not.
(d) If the fee has been paid for the survey of an un- classed ship and, for special reasons, a partial survey only has been made and a certificate issued for a period not exceeding 12 months, only one-half of the full fee is payable for the completion of the survey for the renewal of the certificate of approval.
(e) When owners or builders submit a design of a new ship and require a provisional assignment of freeboard the fee prescribed above should be paid according to whether the ship is to be classed or unclassed. This will cover the final assignment of freeboard and issue of the certificate of approval.
(f) The fee for the inspection of minor alterations in- volving an alteration of freeboard of a ship having a valid loadline certificate is two-fifths the full fee.
(g) The fee for a copy of a certificate of approval of loadline is $7.50.
(h) When the survey of an unclassed passenger ship for assignment or re-assignment of loadline is made at the same time as the survey for passenger certificate, one-half the full fee for loadline survey is to be charged.
Survey in dry dock for bottom certificate.
8.-(a) For a ship holding any Hong Kong passenger certificate or its accepted equivalent the fee for the survey of the outside of the hull in dry dock is to be $45 if the ship is 10,000 tons (gross) or under, and $60 if the ship is above 10,000 tons (gross).
(b) If the ship does not hold Hong Kong passenger certificate or its equivalent the fee for this survey is to be one-fourth of the full fee for survey for a passenger certificate with the addition thereto of $15 for each propeller shaft drawn for examination.
(c) The fee covers the issue of a dry docking certificate, but for a duplicate copy of the certificate a further fee of $7.50 is to be charged.
(d) If this survey is part of the complete survey for a passenger certificate, loadline, etc., no separate fee is to be charged.
Inspection of Crew Spaces.
9.-(a) The fee for each visit of the surveyor to the ship is $15 but the total fee is not to exceed $60 when more than four separate visits are necessary.
(b) This fee is not to be charged when the inspection of the crew spaces is made at the same time as the measurement for tonnage, or the survey prior to re-registry.
