he may accept such boats in lieu of Class 1 boats on such international voyages, provided he is satisfied that as many Class 1 boats are carried as the circumstances of the trade permit.
29. EQUIPMENT FOR LIFEBOATS-Every lifeboat form- ing part of the statutory life saving appliances of any ship of Group I. Class 6 shall be provided with the full equipment for lifeboats specified in the Instructions, with the exception that, subject to the approval of the Government Marine Sur- veyor, biscuits and condensed milk need not be provided.
30. EQUIPMENT FOR LIFE RAFTS:-Every life raft form- ing part of the statutory life saving appliances of any ship of Group I. Class 6 shall be provided with the full equipment. for life rafts specified in the Instructions, with the exception that, subject to the approval of the Government Marine Sur- veyor, biscuits need not be provided.
31. LIFE-BUOYS: -The minimum number of approved life-buoys with which ships of Group I. Class 6 are to be provided is as follows:-

32. LIFE-JACKETS:-One approved life-jacket shall be carried for each person on board.
GROUP I. CLASS 7.
33. The requirements as to life saving appliances specified under the heading "Group I. Class 7'' shall be complied with by ships engaged in the carriage of unberthed passengers on international coasting voyages as particularly hereafter described, that is to say, voyages not more than twenty miles from the nearest land along the coasts of French Indo-China, China and Manchuria between parallels 19° North latitude and 41° North latitude.
