NOTICE is hereby given that the Superintendent of Customs and the Doyen of the Consular Body have declared the Port of KOBE to be infected.

All vessels arriving therefrom on and after Monday next, the 13th instant, are to abide by and be governed by the Sanitary Regulations for Shanghai and Woosung.

Rock on Hai-hsi Shoal.

NOTICE is hereby given of the existence of a rock situated on the south-eastern portion:

of the Hai-hsi Shoal. The rock is covered 8 feet at low water of spring tides.

This Notice is issued on information received from the Imperial German Government at Tsingtau.

CHINA SEA.

SHANGHAI DISTRICT-LANGSHAN CROSSING.

Alteration in Buoyage.

NOTICE is hereby given that on or about the 10th instant the following changes in the yage of the Langshan Crossing will be made :--

The North Bank Buoy will be shifted 14 cables S. 30° W. from its present position.

The Vine Point Lower Buoy will be shifted 11⁄2 cables S. 30° W. from its present position.

The Vine Point Buoy will be shifted 1 cables west from its present position. The Waterman Bank Buoy will be shifted 5 cables N. 30° W. from its present position. A black Buoy, named the Waterman Bank Upper Buoy, will be placed to mark the western side of the channel about half-way between the Watermau Bank Buoy and the Upper Crossing Buoy, in approximately the following position: -Fushan -Pagoda bearing S. 11° W., distant 3-6 miles.
