No. 411.-His Excellency the Governor has given his assent, in the name and on behalf of His Majesty the KING, to the following Ordinances passed by the Legislative Council:

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hongkong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as The Stonecutters Island Amendment Ordinance 1909 and shall be read and construed as one with The Stonecufters' Island Ordinance 1889 (hereinafter called the Principal Ordinance).
2. Section 3 (1) of the Principal `Ordinance shall be read and construed as if the words "by the Colonial Secretary or did not appear therein.
3. No vessel shall anchor or make fast within one hundred yards from the shore at low water mark of Stone- cutters' Island unless with the written permission of the officer in command of His Majesty's Regular Troops in the Colony, except such vessel be employed on Naval, Mili- tary, or Police duty, or except such vessel be compelled by stress of weather to anchor or make fast within such distance.
4. The master or other person in charge of any vessel which anchors or makes fast contrary to the provisions of section 3 of this Ordinance shall on conviction thereof in a summary way be liable to a penalty not exceeding twenty dollars or to imprisonment with or without hard labour for any term not execeling one mouth.
5. For the purposes of this Ordinance “vessel ** includes junk, sampau, boat, and every other description of vessel used in navigation.
