EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.

No. 633.

Regulation made by the Officer Administering the Government in Council under section 5 of the Ferries Ordinance, 1917, Ordinance No. 28 of 1917, on the 1st day of November, 1927.

The regulations relating to the ferry or group of ferries within the area bounded by the following lines and by the coast lines between the terminal points of those lines, that

is to say,

Bast:The western entrance of Lyemun Pass,

West-A straight line drawn from the Harbour Office to Blackhead's Point, appearing under the heading "II-EASTERN" on pages 754 and 755 of the Regula- tions of Hong Kong, 1844-1925, extended as appears in Government Notification No. 309, published in the Gazette of the 4th June, 1926, are hereby amended by the rescis- sion of the second paragraph (c) on page 755 which commences "(c) The following regulation is added and ends "approved by the Harbour Master", and by the substi- tution therefor of the following paragraphs,-

(d) The words "shall have furnished security by deposit with the Treasurer of a sum equal to twelve months rent" are substituted for the words shall have furnished such security as may be required by the Harbour Master in a sum equal to three months rent" in regulation No. 11 of the principal regulations.

(e) The following regulation is added after regulation No. 28 of the principal

regulations :--

28A. The licensee shall not permit any ferry vessel to carry or tow

any pigwash or offensive cargo.
