2. The Minutes of the Meeting held on the 13th October, 1927, were confirmed.

3. The Hon. Mr. ROLAND ARTHUR CHARLES NORTH took the oath of allegiance on
taking his seat as a Member of Council.
PAPERS.
4. The following papers were laid on the table :—
Regulation made by the Officer Administering the Government in Council under section 25 (4) of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899, on 13th October, 1927.
Resolution of the Legislative Council under the provisions of section 7 of the
Tramway Ordinance, 1902, on 13th October 1927.
Appointment made by the Officer Administering the Government in Council under section 40 of the Liquors Consolidation Ordinance, 1911, on 19th October, 1927.
REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE.
5. The Colonial Secretary laid on the table the Report of the Finance Committee
(No. 12), dated the 13th October, 1927, and moved its adoption.
The Colonial Treasurer seconded.

MOTIONS.
6. Jesuit Order Incorporation Bill.-The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to provide for the incorporation of the Procurator in Hong Kong of the English Assist- ancy of the Jesuit Order.
