Visa Requirements for British Nacional (Overseas) Passport Holders Visiting Mauricius
26th February 1993
I have the honour to refer to your letter of 24th November 1992 and the letter of 27th November 1992 from the Secretary for Security.
zo inform you that The Government of Mauritius has directed me with immediate effect holders of British National (Overseas) ("BNO") passports They will need not apply for visas prior to their departure for Mauritius.
on arrival at che Mauritius SSR
SSR International Airport be granted visas provided that:
(a)
they hold and produce valid return confirmed;
tickets and their departure
is
(0)
they are in possession of valid passports and adequate funds the costs of stay in Mauritius;

meet
(c)
they have firm accommodation booking;
(d)
they are eligible to re-enter their country of origin and
(e)
}
they give a written undertaking that they will leave within their visa period.
The above will be in force until 31st December 1996.
