1. I attach an extract from the Gambian Daily Observer about the granting of Gambian Citizenship to special Immigrants from Hong Kong.

One of the requirements of the BN (0) programme for Hong Kong requires holders to have a Permanent Identity Card (PIC) to, make their passport a worthwhile document. cannot get a PIC this venture could circumvent immigration
For those who entry requirements. As a Gambian Citizen all Hong Kong Chinese will in essence be able to enter the UK without an Entry Certificate. If this gesture to the fourteen becomes widely known then we may have an influx of Hong Kong Immigrants to The Gambia and provided they are willing to invest here they will/can recieve Gambian Citizenship.
We will keep an eye on this. If for no other reason than The Gambia could become a back door to the UK from Hong Kong.
