This department has just produced a new brochure - "A Message to New Immigrants to New Zealand of Chinese Ethnic Origin". This essentially gives a warning relating to the importation of goods by these persons and includes a translation of the text in Chinese.

I have enclosed a supply of these brochures herewith for your use. From your view point, they would mainly be applicable to Immigrants into New Zealand from Hong Kong. The brochures are also being distributed to New Zealand Diplomatic posts overseas.
