Indian and Pakistani Citizenship

We are still very interested to know how the solely British ethnic Indians and Pakistanis in Hong Kong may acquire Indian and Pakistani citizenship.

I notice that on this issue you last wrote to New Dehli on 10 June. I have on my record no reply yet. I should be grateful if you would chase New Delhi again. IF you have already had a reply, I should be grateful for a copy.

You may find the attached copy of press cutting interesting. It is a letter to the editor of the South China Morning Post, suggesting that the British Government should put pressure on the Indian and Pakistani Governments to ease the residency requirements for ethnic minorities in Hong Kong to acquire citizenship of this country of origin.

Mi Woodhow.
