I would like to draw your attention to the following article on BN(C) application forms published in the Toronto edition of Ming Fao last Saturday. The story was a followup on the Security Branch's comments given to Sing Tao Daily on overseas complaints on the availability of BN (0) application forms and information in passport issuing offions in Britain and Canada.

The story pointed out the following:

1. Since the phased programme was launched, BN(0) application forms have never been available in the British Connulate in Toronto, and the British High Commission in Ottawa claimed that their forms were

"

received from Hong Kong's Immigration Department.

2. However, according to the Immigration Department, llong Kong's BN (O) application forms are different from those for overseas applicants, and all the overseas application forms were printed and distributed by the British Government, and not by the Hong Kong Immigration Department.
