Since we do not have details on the question raised by the Nepalse minister, we are unable to comment about the "problem" but we gather that there is some feeling in Nepal that the history of Gurkhas serving in the British army in Hong Kong should give them special preference in our immigration policy. I am afraid there is only a very marginal sense in which this general history can help individual cases under our policy.
