that they have valid passports, confirmed onward tickets and
onward entry facilities (including entry facilities for any
country en route, if necessary).

The above arrangements, which will be implemented
starting from 1 August, will enable PRC transitees to enter
Hong Kong via any immigration control point (including Kai Tak
airport). This will benefit substantially the travellers and
reduce the congestion at Lo Wu.
6.
The visa-free arrangement will also cover PRC
transitees who travel to and from Taiwan on two-way permits.
To simplify the clearance of these transitees, we will waive
the visa requirement for their return trip from Taiwan to China
via Hong Kong and grant them a stay of 7 days.
PRC officials and Aircrew

In view of the close economic links between China and
Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Government is examining the
feasibility of allowing:-
(a)
(b)
visa-free visits of 14 days for holders of PRC
diplomatic, official and private passports for official purposes issued by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs; and
visa-free visits of 7 days for PRC aircrew travelling
to Hong Kong as an operating member of the crew on
board an aircraft and leaving by the same or another
aircraft as a member of its crew.
