I have just seen the attached letter from Jonathan Marshall to Jennie Chok.

I certainly spoke to Peter Ricketts about Graham Hand but I don't recall discussing the possibility of a visit by Mr. Mortimer! I did agree with Peter that it would be preferable if matters to do with sponsored visits, which are controlled through this office, could be discussed with us rather than directly by Hong Kong Department with individuals in Hong Kong.
