Law (particularly an article which gives the final

power of interpretation of it to the National Peoples Congress

Standing Committee).

amended including the Official Secrets Act, the Film Censorship

Ordinance and the Police Force Ordinance.

The report has not to date generated much press interest in

the UK, although four MPs were present for its launch and John

Marek has asked four PQS which have clearly been inspired by the report. It may attract more interest as it percolates.

Equally, it has not caused much of a stir in Hong Kong where the

issues are more familiar; but the authors intend to relaunch it

there after the Chinese New Year.
