Follow-up notification on the latest situation with additional supporting plant data/information as detailed in Appendix II should be faxed to us not less than once every 6 hours. should there be any significant changes, the Hong Kong Government should be notified immediately.

It is proposed to use the communication channels for off-site emergency situations established in Consensus Paper on Agenda Item 2 for the transmission of the information in para. 4 above. To save work and time on both sides for the transmission of such information, consideration should be given to setting up a real time data link which can be activated once the plant enters an emergency situation to enable more effective and efficient data communication.
