"programme", in Lelation to a cable programm
service, includes any item included in that
service:
"sounds", for the purposes of the exclusion in the
definition of "cable programme service", mean
speech or music or both except that they do not
include, in relation to any telecommunication
system, speech providing information for the
purpose of facilitating the use of a
telecommunication service provided by means of
that system;
"telecommunication system" in the definition of
"cable programme service" does not include a
nication system the calming of which
doso not require to be licensed under Parts III
orIIZA of the Telecommunication Ordinance (Cap.
106);
"visual images" in the definition of "cable programme
service" means visual images which are such that
sequences of them may be seen as moving pictures.
(12) The foregoing provisions of this section shall
have effect as if the references in those provisions and
im osition 22(2) of thin set to commde include references
to signals serving for the impartation of matter otherwise
than in the form of sounds or visual images.".
In section 16 (1) (supplementary provisions for purposes of.
Part II) for the words "and sound breadcasts" there shall be
substituted the words "sound broadcasts and cable programmes".
